Ebay auction alert - Fender Stratocaster guitar for sale
There's a 1962 re-issue Fender Stratocaster guitar that's up for auction on Ebay. The owner claims it was once owned by Don Peris. No supporting photos or documentation have been supplied in the auction, so bid with caution if bidding as memorabilia.
Interestingly enough, it resembles a bass that Mike and Karen used on tour.

LancasterOnline.com:
"Unlike the majority of musicians who make Christmas albums, guitarist Don Peris actually recorded most of his during the holiday season.
Peris, however, spent five or six years collecting material for the album, "Brighter Visions Beam Afar," which was released this fall."...moreLabels: don peris, review

Don Peris - Echoes Podcast
Last year we mentioned an interview with Don Peris on "Echoes" via WXPN. Echoes now has a podcast available for download of that interview."Guitarist creates parlor music for home movies in nostalgic tones
Don Peris grew up and still lives in Lancaster, PA, where he works with his
wife, singer Karen Peris in a band called The Innocence Mission. But recently
Don released a solo, mostly instrumental CD called Go When the Morning Shineth.
It's a wistful, nostalgic recording of intimate guitar melodies and subtle
backing. He says the initial concept of the album was to create soundtracks for
old Super 8 home movies, of people he didn't even know. We screen his vision in
an Echoes interview."Source: Timouth via OurCourtyard

Don Peris concert wrap-up
Last evening, Don performed a reworked version of the untitled instrumental from the unreleased
Glow demos. The song, now titled "Recital", appears on Don's new album,
Go When The Morning Shineth.

Also, they ended the show with "Birds" by Neil Young. Some of you may remember, Karen singing this in 1991.
Don also mentioned the new Innocence Mission album could possibly be out in February and the unreleased
Glow demos may see the light of day...one day, but definitely not before the new CD is released.
